Let's discover this off-grid 9 hectare farm with temporary living setup and approved residential project: A ready-to-build plot in a private location in the countryside of Penamacor. Building rights - the highlight: This property allows you to build a home for permanent residence. The current owners already got approval for their project of an 80m2 residential bungalow, with building permission from the council. If interested, options of transferring this project to the future owners will be discussed, and the build of your permanent residence can get started. All set in a privileged position within the landscape, offering beautiful views. Property main features: Easy access to the land is via private gate from the main road, where you immediately enjoy panoramic views and a spacious feel, overlooking the land and rolling hills all the way to Monsanto. Well-maintained dirt roads wind across the land, leading you to a schist stone building for agricultural purposes and further down to the temporary living set-up in the heart of the property. It currently hosts several cabin-style units like a cozy wooden sleep pod, a kitchen + dining room, a bathroom with composting toilet and shower facilities. Water supply comes from a pond and 2 ICB tanks, solar power is ensured via portable power station (Bluetti). A few decorative elements, ornamental plants and granite boulders add visual highlights to the place. Operating off-grid, the temporary tiny-house installation allows you to stay while preparing for the construction of a future home. There is potential to improve it for more comfort and to suit your needs. Water and vegetation: Across the land you will find abundance of water thanks to 4 large ponds (2 keep water throughout the year), creating attractive natural focal points while offering valuable water resources for future cultivation and wildlife. A pumphouse near one of the ponds hosts an irrigational installation. A very impressive part of the land is the established olive grove with 50 centenary olive trees, producing abundance of olives to be processed to organic olive oil. There are also oak trees spread over the land, and 3 big cork oaks which make lovely seating areas and provide valuable shade. Additionally, a variety of recently planted fruit trees are developing into a new orchard. Most of the land is grazing land, ideal for goats, or to be transformed for cultivation. With rainfall the place is turning green again and in spring becoming a colourful blooming scenery full of bustling bees. Location: Located 10 minutes from Penamacor, you will find council services, health care, cafés and restaurants, supermarket, schools and diverse shops. The region offers a variety of attractions to see and explore, like historic villages and castles, swimming pools and river beaches, museums and serene spots.
