Overview

SUMMARY: Discover an opportunity with this Parede apartment for rent and available for €3,064. This could be your next ideal home or a smart investment. More details await.
A 1-bedroom garden apartment in a coastal neighborhood between Lisbon and Cascais. Beaches, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and the train station are all within walking distance, making it easy to explore both Lisbon and its surroundings, like Cascais & Sintra, without a car. Located on the ground floor of a private villa, the apartment has its own independent entrance and lock. A dedicated study nook provides a comfortable space for work or quiet concentration when needed. Fully furnished kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, induction stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, etc. It just does not have a microwave. There is also a washer. I will also send you a local guidebook with my personal recommendations for the greater Lisbon area for easier trip planning. Checkin: after 4PM Checkout: Before 11AM 1. The apartment is located on street level, making it ideal for guests who prefer minimal stairs. Some traffic noise may be present during the day, though windows and doors are sound-reducing when closed. 2. This is for you to stay only, no visitor is allowed, even if not overnight. So please accurately communicate how many people will be in your group. Only the stated members of the group may enter the property. 3. There is no heating or A/C. But I will provide electric blankets on the bed, extra throw blanket, and a dehumidifier. Extra appliance is not allowed or you may overload the electrical system. If you are looking for a centrally heated warm home, this is not a good fit. Neighborhood: Set along the Lisbon–Cascais coast — often called the Portuguese Riviera — the apartment combines the connectivity of a European capital with the relaxed rhythm of Atlantic coastal life. The apartment is located in a safe and highly walkable residential neighborhood, with many of the area’s main sights and attractions within easy reach: It is close to Lisbon, yet removed from the hustle and bustle, with refreshing Atlantic breezes and cooler coastal temperatures. Enjoy the calm of a coastal holiday without giving up easy metropolitan access to the capital city. Nearby, Cascais is a charming coastal town known for its marina, beaches and scenic promenade, with a long history as a summer retreat for European royalty. Just 25 minutes away, Sintra offers a striking landscape of lush hills, historic estates and UNESCO-listed palaces and castles. Closer to home, the local town center offers a more authentic glimpse of everyday Portuguese life, with long-standing cafés and restaurants serving local residents at LOCAL prices. Within a 10-minute walk, there is something for almost every mood and taste, from Portuguese and seafood to Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Brazilian, Peruvian and Chinese cuisine. For first-time visitors, the location makes it especially easy to combine Lisbon for city and culture, Cascais for coastal life, Sintra for history and landscape, and nearby beaches for slower days. Rather than choosing between a city break and a coastal holiday, you can comfortably enjoy both. It is also perfect for active stays: from golf, surfing, kayaking and sailing to tennis, padel, cycling, hiking and horse riding, there’s plenty to enjoy year-round. It’s a great base for making the most of the active coastal lifestyle. Transportation-wise: You can easily enjoy your entire vacation here and explore much of Greater Lisbon without a car: Walk for daily life: a large supermarket is right in front of the house, with cafés, restaurants, bakeries, shops and other everyday amenities within a further 5-minute walk. 2 beaches are just 15 minutes away on foot. The coastal promenade offers scenic views, fresh Atlantic air, and an easy setting for relaxed walks. 7-minute walk to the "Parede" train station, which offers direct, scenic access to both central Lisbon (30 min) and Cascais (10 min) Uber and Uber Eats are also readily available and very affordable. In practice, most of your stay can be done without a car: beaches, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants are walkable; Lisbon, Cascais and the airport are accessible by public transport; Sintra is the only major destination not directly connected by public transport from the house. Driving is not particularly convenient either: private cars cannot access several of its most popular sights, while the winding mountain roads and limited parking make Uber the most practical option—even for visitors staying in Sintra itself. Cars are optional rather than essential, which means no rental car or stress navigating unfamiliar roads. But if you do decide to drive, there is plenty of free street parking right outside. – Lisbon International Airport: 35 min Uber (~€15–25) or 1 hour by public transport – Lisbon center: 20–30 min by coastal scenic train or ~25 min Uber (~€10–20 Uber) – Beaches & Surfing & Coastal Promenade: 15 min walk – Cascais: 10 min Uber (~€5) or coastal scenic train – Sintra: ~25 min Uber (~€10–20) – World-renowned Golf courses: 10–20 min Uber (~€5-10) – Padel & Tennis: 10 min walk or Uber The location combines excellent transport access with a quiet residential setting — avoiding the bridge traffic associated with staying south of the Lisbon river, airport noise in parts of Lisbon, the winding mountain roads around Sintra.
