Lovely period property for renovation located in a small hamlet close to the town of Penela, Coimbra. The property was formerly part of a larger estate dating back many years. The original manor house had its own coat of arms, which can still be seen sited in the old arched entrance to what was the courtyard of the manor. Ground floor: The main door to the property is opposite the old well which has vines that offer shade in summer months. There is an adjoining room to the kitchen with hardwood doors that open onto the gardens at the rear. First floor: A large landing area has 3 doors that lead to the rear double bedroom, front double bedroom with access door to the attic and large lounge area with inset wall cupboard and oak floor. Double doors from the lounge open onto the 3rd bedroom, which overlooks the courtyard. Some of the windows on the first floor have been replaced in aluminium frames over the years. Exterior: The land with the property gently slopes away from the house and has some trees at the lower end. There is an old well opposite the front door of the property. The property has mains water, mains electricity and a soak away drain for sewage.
