Kelly McCann (Has a Room). Hello! I'm subletting my super sunny, super spacious room in Stuytown (just off the 1st Ave L stop) for an October 1st move-in, with an option to renew the lease in March. I'm moving out because an unexpected and affordable 1bd near my work fell into my lap, but this apartment has been fantastic! I'm sad to be leaving.The unit:The massive apartment unit gets tons of sun, has brand-new flooring, updated appliances ( a brand-new gas oven/stove and a dishwasher), and double-paned windows. The building has an elevator, mail room, laundry on the first floor, and backs into a lovely courtyard. If you haven't checked out Stuytown, it's a fantastic community! There's always some event happening, and the community feel is genuinely adorable.The vibe:We keep a peaceful, thoughtful living space. Both roommates are clean, communicative, and care about making the area feel like home. We all recently moved to the city and have been slowly curating the vibes, so any contributions you may have to the space will be welcome!One roommate (she/her) is in real estate; she has an adorable small dog (Marley! ) and occasionally floods the space with yummy baking smells. The other roommate (she/her) is an actor who just finished a master's program and knows about all the great shows to see in the city.Both are super kind, health-conscious, and have active lives outside the apartment.The pros:Location! We're at the corner of Stuytown, bordering Gramercy (E 20th and 1st) - which means super easy transport, errands, everything. Trader Joe's and Target are just a 5 min walk away! We're right off the 1st Ave L stop.Thoughtful, amazing roommates Space! The room is truly massive (I easily fit a giant desk, chair and ottoman, bookshelves, and a Queen-sized bed)Dishwasher and in-building laundryStuytown loveliness (the whole thing is like a giant park in the middle of the city)You'll be a good fit if:You're planning to stay through the end of the lease (option to renew in March)You identify as female or gender binaryYou don't work from home every day (we all WFH occasionally)You're sociable, but keep the party outside the aptYou're ~30 years oldYou love animals (one roommate has a sweetie pie doggo)Rental Requirements:Rent is $2,118.83, which includes all utilities, including internet.
