Pilar de la Horadada is a municipality in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community, Spain. Located in the extreme south of the province, in the region of Vega Baja, bordering the Region of Murcia, it is the southernmost municipality of the Valencian Community. Despite being a relatively young municipality, in its more than 30 years of existence as an independent municipality, projects have been undertaken to provide the town with the necessary services. It also owes much to the privileged climate that keeps the area in a kind of "constant spring", with average temperatures of 18 ºC, gentle breezes and the sun shining more than 3200 hours a year.
