Jávea (pronunciado: have ee ya) es una ciudad dentro de la provincia de Alicante, a unos 90 minutos en coche de Valencia y aproximadamente a una hora de Alicante y es extremadamente popular en los meses de verano entre locales y turistas extranjeros. Salpicado de impresionantes calas, aguas cristalinas y el telón de fondo del Montgó lo convierten en un lugar de vacaciones pintoresco. Aparentemente, fue el puerto preeminente para la exportación de pasas hasta que el comercio de pasas colapsó, o el "hundimiento de las pasas", como se lo conocía en la época.. . De todos modos, este no es el típico apartamento diminuto de verano donde tú y otros 15 miembros de la familia comparten 50 m2, aquí tenemos 100 m2 para disfrutar y a sólo 200 m de la playa y de la avenida Mediterráneo, que es la avenida principal para cenar bien y todo eso. Vistas de la montaña Montgó antes mencionada desde la piscina comunitaria y una plaza de aparcamiento incluida para aquellos que conduzcan desde la antigua Ámsterdam, además viene con una licencia turística.. . Durante los meses de verano, aquí se obtienen grandes beneficios económicos en alquileres, por lo que pasar el invierno en una ciudad tranquila en el Mediterráneo con su propio microclima (considerado el segundo mejor del mundo detrás de Río de Janeiro, te lo haré saber). un promedio durante todo el año de 18-24º) mientras que ganar dinero en verano suena como una propuesta muy atractiva si me preguntas.. . We don't generally list properties this far south of Valencia but every now and then one will pop up that we think is worth us making the trip down to visit. Javea (pronounced: have ee ya) is a town within the province of Alicante, about a 90-minute drive from Valencia and an hour or so from Alicante and it is extremely popular in the summer months with locals and foreign tourists like. Dotted with stunning coves, crystal clear waters and the backdrop of the Montgó make for a picturesque holiday spot. Apparently, it was the pre-eminent port for the export of raisins until the raisin trade collapsed, or the 'sinkin of the raisin' as it was known back in the day. . . Anyway, this isn't your typical pokey summer flat where you and 15 other family members share 50m2, here we have 100m2 to enjoy and only 200m from the beach and the avenida Mediterráneo which is the main strip for your fine dining and whatnot. Views of the aforementioned Montgó mountain from the communal swimming pool and a parking space thrown in for those of you driving down from old Amsterdam plus it comes with a tourist licence. . . During the summer months you are looking at serious $$$$ on rentals here so spending the winter in a quiet town on the med with its own microclimate (considered the 2nd best in the world behind Rio de Janeiro I'll have you know with a year-round average of 18-24º) while raking in the moolah in the summer sounds like a bloody attractive proposition if you ask me. . .
