Iznalloz is a small town about 35 km north of Granada, Spain. The town is the main center of a region known as Los Montes Orientales, which comprises about 17 towns and villages spread over the north of the province of Granada. Encompassed within this area is the Sierra Arana mountain range.

Of the old Moorish castle that gives name to this village (Hisn Allauz, 'Castle of the almond tree'), there are only testimonies of its existence but in the old town visitors can see interesting sites of its historic-artistic heritage, such as: the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles (16th to 18th centuries), with an original layout by Diego de Siloé, the Old Granary and the Old Hospital.

Fiestas Patronales Virgen de los Remedios. This festivity is celebrated on the third week of August to honour the Patron Saint of the town, Virgen de los Remedios. Following the tradition, the Virgin leaves her hermitage to get to the Church. There, with a beautiful mantle embroidered by hand and among flowers, the Virgin is exposed during the festivities to receive offerings and songs every day. On the last day, there is another procession so the Virgen can return to her hermitage.
San Isidro Labrador. The Festivities of San Isidro Labrador is celebrated to honour San Isidro. It is a tradition to go on a pilgrimage on May 15th and people from the town meet in the countryside to have lunch and enjoy the day together with family and friends.
