Terreno Rústico com 1.360,00 m2 Terreno Plano Viabilidade de Construção Proximidade de Serviços Capelas é uma vila e sede de freguesia açoriana do município de Ponta Delgada, com 16,84 km² de área e 4 080 habitantes (2011). A sua densidade populacional é 242,3 hab/km². Localiza-se a uma latitude 37.833 (37°50') Norte e a uma longitude 25.6833 (25°41') Oeste, estando a uma altitude de 60 metros. A atividade principal é a agricultura e a produção de chá mira. É banhada pelo Oceano Atlântico. Tem montanhas a sul. Foi elevada a vila e sede de concelho por Carta de Lei de 23 de Julho de 1839. O município era constituído pelas freguesias de Bretanha, Capelas, Fenais da Luz, Santo António e São Vicente Ferreira. Tinha, em 1849, 9 026 habitantes. Contudo o concelho foi efémero, nunca tendo assumido na plenitude as respetivas funções. Foi extinto em 1855, retornando o seu território ao concelho de Ponta Delgada. Nunca perdendo o título de Vila mas caindo em esquecimento este foi reforçada a categoria de vila a 24 de Junho de 2003 pelo Decreto Legislativo Regional n.º 29/2003/A, de 24 de Junho, da Assembleia Legislativa. As populações de Capelas e freguesias vizinhas reivindicam a restauração do concelho. A vila das Capelas foi um importante centro da caça ao cachalote, funcionando no seu pequeno porto, na primeira metade do século XX, uma armação baleeira. Nas imediações do porto (Poços) foi instalada uma fábrica de óleo e farinha de cachalote, quando esta atividade terminou, ficou em ruínas e mais tarde foi demolida, ficando só a chaminé principal.

Its population density is 242.3 inhabitants/km². It is located at a latitude 37.833 (37°50') North and at a longitude 25.6833 (25°41') West, being at an altitude of 60 meters. The main activity is agriculture and tea production aim. It is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. There's mountains to the south. It was elevated to the village and seat of the municipality by Charter of Law of July 23, 1839. The municipality consisted of the parishes of Brittany, Chapels, Fenais da Luz, Santo António and São Vicente Ferreira. It had, in 1849, 9 026 inhabitants. However, the council was ephemeral, having never fully assumed its functions. It was extinguished in 1855, returning its territory to the municipality of Ponta Delgada. Never losing the title of Village but falling by the wayside this was reinforced the category of village on June 24, 2003 by Regional Legislative Decree No. 29/2003/A, of June 24, of the Legislative Assembly. The populations of chapels and neighboring parishes demand the restoration of the municipality. The village of Capelas was an important center of sperm whale hunting, operating in its small port, in the first half of the twentieth century, a whaling frame. In the vicinity of the port (Poços) was installed an oil factory and sperm whale flour, when this activity ended, was ruined and was later demolished, leaving only the main chimney.

Su densidad de población es de 242,3 hab/km². Se localiza a una latitud 37.833 (37°50') Norte y a una longitud 25.6833 (25°41') Oeste, estando a una altitud de 60 metros. La actividad principal es la agricultura y el objetivo de la producción de té. Está bañada por el Océano Atlántico. Hay montañas al sur. Fue elevada a villa y sede del municipio por Carta de Ley del 23 de julio de 1839. El municipio estaba formado por las parroquias de Bretaña, Capillas, Fenais da Luz, Santo António y São Vicente Ferreira. Tenía, en 1849, 9 026 habitantes. Sin embargo, el concilio fue efímero, ya que nunca asumió plenamente sus funciones. Se extinguió en 1855, devolviendo su territorio al municipio de Ponta Delgada. Nunca perdiendo el título de Villa pero quedando en el camino esto fue reforzado la categoría de aldea el 24 de junio de 2003 por el Decreto Legislativo Regional Nº 29/2003/A, de 24 de junio, de la Asamblea Legislativa. Las poblaciones de ermitas y parroquias vecinas exigen la restauración del municipio. El pueblo de Capelas fue un importante centro de caza de cachalotes, operando en su pequeño puerto, en la primera mitad del siglo XX, un marco ballenero. En las inmediaciones del puerto (Poços) se instaló una fábrica de aceite y harina de cachalote, cuando esta actividad terminó, se arruinó y posteriormente fue demolida, quedando solo la chimenea principal.

Lactivité principale est lagriculture et la production de thé. Il est baigné par locéan Atlantique. Il y a des montagnes au sud. Il a été élevé au rang de village et de siège de la municipalité par la Charte de la Loi du 23 juillet 1839. La municipalité se composait des paroisses de Bretagne, Chapels, Fenais da Luz, Santo António et São Vicente Ferreira. Elle comptait, en 1849, 9 026 habitants. Cependant, le conseil était éphémère, nayant jamais pleinement assumé ses fonctions. Il a été éteint en 1855, rendant son territoire à la municipalité de Ponta Delgada. Ne perdant jamais le titre de Village mais tombant à leau, cela a été renforcé la catégorie de village le 24 juin 2003 par le décret législatif régional n ° 29/2003 / A, du 24 juin, de lAssemblée législative. Les populations de chapelles et de paroisses voisines exigent la restauration de la municipalité. Le village de Capelas était un important centre de chasse au cachalot, opérant dans son petit port, dans la première moitié du XXe siècle, un cadre baleinier. Dans les environs du port (Poços) a été installée une usine dhuile et de farine de cachalot, lorsque cette activité a pris fin, a été ruinée et a ensuite été démolie, ne laissant que la cheminée principale.
