The most remote designation seems to be Odiáxere, which coexists sometimes with the designation of Diáxere and already in the seventeenth-eighteenth century with the designation of Our Lady of conception of Odiáxere. According to some linguists, the correct form should be Odiáxere, a designation that it currently maintains. The origin of the toponym reveals the Arab presence in the Iberian Peninsula and a reference to water, because "odi" means river.
