Our spacious, gut-renovated loft occupies the top floor of a seven-story building, where the elevator opens directly into our private hallway. The building also features a shared roof deck. YOUR SPACE: Your area feels almost like a private suite. It includes an interior bedroom with sliding doors that can remain open for an airy loft feel or closed for additional privacy. The room opens into a generous living/work area with an entire wall of north-facing windows, bringing in beautiful natural light throughout the day. Your bathroom is just a few steps away and is shared with one other roommate. The two-room suite is separated from the main living area by a sliding door, making it quiet and surprisingly private. The room comes furnished, and we're happy to provide bedding and towels if needed. SHARED SPACES: The shared side of the loft includes an open-plan kitchen, dining room, and living room beneath a large skylight, plus a separate laundry room with a new washer and dryer. The kitchen is spacious, fully equipped with high-end appliances, and stocked with just about every cooking gadget you could want. We mostly cook on weekends, so it's often available during the week. INCLUDES: • High-speed Wi-Fi • New washer and dryer • Bi-monthly housekeeper • Access to numerous streaming services ABOUT US: We are critically acclaimed Sundance and Emmy Award-winning filmmakers who met while earning master's degrees in Communication and Film at Stanford University. Tina serves on nonprofit boards, volunteers extensively, and is currently pursuing a second master's degree in International Human Rights Law at Oxford University. Jane is both a documentary filmmaker and an IRS-certified tax specialist. We work from home, so weekdays are generally quiet. Around 7:30 in the evening, we'll have dinner, catch up, and occasionally watch a movie on the big screen. We enjoy our privacy but also genuinely like the sense of community that comes from sharing a home. YOUR HOUSEMATE: You'll also be sharing the loft with a 25-year-old AI engineer whose app was recently accepted by Apple (we're incredibly proud of him!). He works primarily from home, is exceptionally quiet, clean, considerate, and hardly ever uses the kitchen. His sweet little dog mostly stays in his room, and our house-trained rabbit, BunBuns, lives happily in a pen. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: The loft is located close to numerous subway and bus lines, restaurants, cafés, shops, Madison Square Park, and nightlife. We're a half block from Whole Foods, Fairway, and CVS. Trader Joe's is a short walk away, and Broadway has been transformed into a pedestrian-friendly boulevard with outdoor seating and dining, making the neighborhood especially enjoyable. SEEKING: • Kind, friendly, and considerate • Neat and respectful of shared spaces • A working professional or graduate student • Comfortable in a calm, clean home • Someone with a good sense of humor—we think that's essential! • No smoking or hard drugs. Light cannabis use is okay. • We prefer a minimum stay of six months or longer but are flexible.
