Hi there! We have a quiet rear bedroom with three windows, a variable-height desk, and a new mattress. The large, gut-renovated loft is owned by two Sundance and Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmakers, Jane C. Wagner & Tina DiFeliciantonio. (www.NakedEyeProductions.com) We met at Stanford University and both earned MAs in Communication and Film. Tina serves on nonprofit boards, volunteers extensively, and is pursuing a second master's in International Human Rights Law from Oxford. In addition to filmmaking, Jane is an IRS-certified tax specialist. We are queer and just turned 64. But we don't consider ourselves old by any means. We like the energy of young people because we like to kid around a lot. The building is seven stories and features a shared roof deck, basement storage, and a brand-new elevator that opens directly into our hallway. Our top-floor home has a large skylight. The hallway offers space to hang coats and place shoes. We are mainly a no-shoe household, but are not insistent. There is a fully stocked, large kitchen with new, high-end appliances and every device you might need. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are open plan. The loft includes a laundry room with a new washer and dryer, a biweekly housekeeper, high-speed Wi-Fi, and access to many streaming services. The building has a computer store on the street level. The apartment is two blocks from Madison Square Park. It is half a block from Whole Foods, Fairway, and CVS, and close to many subway lines. There is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants nearby. You will have a super lovely shower, shared with another roommate who lives in the north wing of the loft. He's a 27-year-old professional who mainly works from home. We've lived together for about six years. He's friendly, clean, quiet, and fast in the shower. He cooks on the weekend, so kitchen usage during the week is light. He's like a younger brother. We do a lot of studying, so the loft is usually quiet during the day until about 7pm. At that time, we have dinner, read, hang out, and maybe watch a movie in the shared living space. We are very friendly but respect boundaries. We have enjoyed every person who has joined our Chelsea family. Sometimes we have movie nights in the evenings because we have an excellent projector. We have a sweet and kind son. He is pursuing a Master's Degree in museum studies at St. Andrew's in Scotland. We also have a cute bunny who used to roam the entire apartment. He now prefers living in an enclosed pen. (Rabbits don't make noise. Tina is allergic to cats but not bunnies.) We seek a kind, friendly, neat, relatively quiet, professional or student who is considerate and keeps the place clean. A good sense of humor is essential. No smoking or drugs, but gummies are fine. If you smoke weed, the roof is the preferred place to do so. Prefer a minimum stay of six months. A one-month security deposit is required.
