Its here where you find a faster pace of evening with numerous bars featuring house, garage, techno music against he more sedate atmosphere of the old town With a permanent residencial population of 45,000 divided between 4 council areas this expends to almost 500,000 in the peak summer months showcasing its popularity - however if this sounds too frantic or busy you also have the options of the beautiful beach towns and villages of Olhos D Agua, Balaia, Sao Rafael, Castelo, Gale all on your doorstep.
