Acerca da história desta freguesia transcreve-se na integra o que nos informa o livro Inventário Colectivo dos registros Paroquiais Vol. 2 Norte Arquivos Nacionais /Torre do Tombo : " Em 1320, no catálogo das igrejas, mandado elaborar pelo rei D.
